Regular Board Meetings

Regular business meetings of the Board of Education are typically held on the second Wednesday of each month (except in January 2025, when held on the third Wednesday of the month). No meetings are scheduled for October, December, and March. Public sessions of these meetings are open to all members of the public to ensure transparency and accountability, and include a question period at the end of each session. Meetings are scheduled to be held at the School Board Administrative Office on 112 Rainbow Road, Saltspring Island. Public sessions of regular board meetings are live-streamed for accessibility and begin at 1:00 p.m. unless otherwise posted.

Standing Committee Meetings

Board Standing Committee meetings are held on the 4th Wednesday of each month, except in December, March, and June. Four days of committee meetings will be held in person on the outer islands, with the remaining meeting days conducted online. Committee Meeting dates for the 2024/2025 school year are as follows:

Members of the public are welcome to observe standing committee meeting but are not invited to participate. If you wish to observe a standing committee meeting, please contact Anna Szul, Executive Assistant, in advance of the meeting for attendance details.
