Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS)
All sites must complete an annual hazardous substances safety review. This review includes confirming that hazardous products are properly labelled, Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are readily accessible, and that staff who use hazardous substances are trained and certified in accordance with WHMIS (2015) requirements.
A documentation binder has been provided in the resources below for all district locations to use as their official WHMIS documentation tool. Please upload the binder as-is. Sites do not need to create their own WHMIS binder or redesign any forms - they simply need to complete and maintain the sections provided.
