Regular Board Meetings

Regular business meetings of the Board of Education are typically held on the second Wednesday of the month (exceptions: September and November 2027). No meetings are scheduled for October and March. Meetings are scheduled to be held at the School Board Administrative Office on 112 Rainbow Road, Saltspring Island. Public sessions of regular board meetings are live-streamed for accessibility and begin at 1:00 p.m. unless otherwise posted.

A link to the live broadcast of the next Regular Meeting of the Board held in public will be posted here in advance of the meeting. Notice: Livestream meetings are intended for live viewing only. By accessing the livestream, you agree not to record or redistribute any portion of the broadcast.

The regular meeting schedule for the 2026/2027 school year is as follows:

All public sessions are open to the public to ensure transparency and accountability. At the end of each public session, there is a designated question period. The Board welcomes questions related to agenda item topics, discussion or decisions of the same meeting. Questions or comments about personal or legal issues, individuals, or property acquisitions, are not appropriate for public meetings and will not be addressed during the public session. 

For those not attending the meeting in person, questions can be emailed in advance to: Corporateservices@sd64.org. Please send your questions by 4:00 pm the day before the scheduled meeting for the Board's consideration. Only questions relating to the day's agenda will be considered at the conclusion of the meeting. All other inquiries will be referred to district staff or the Board Chair as appropriate.

Standing Committee Meetings

Board Standing Committee meetings occur on the 4th Wednesday of the month (exception: November). These meetings will be hosted on Microsoft Teams. The public is welcome to observe the meetings but cannot participate. Details about each standing committee are available on the Standing Committees page of the website.
