Board Elections
The Board conducted its annual elections for Board Chair and Vice-Chair, BCSTA, BCPSEA, Indigenous Education Council Representatives (IEC), and alternate representatives.

Chairperson’s Report
Trustee Code of Conduct | The members of the Board of Education reaffirmed commitment to School District No. 64 Policy 1.30 Trustee Code of Conduct.
District Updates
Indigenous Education Council (IEC) | The IEC met on November 3 and amended the Terms of Reference to include six (6) members from W̱SÁNEĆ School Board representing Tsartlip, Tsawout, Tseycum and Pauquachin. The Council expressed appreciation to Indigenous Education Principal Lorna Fraser for the good work being undertaken by the district. The next meeting will be held February 2, 2026.
Day for Truth and Reconciliation | The Board reviewed the meaningful activities carried out by students and staff to reinforce their ongoing commitment to the principles of Truth and Reconciliation.
Policy & Practices Website Navigation | Extensive work has been done to update the Policy and Practices section of the district website now located under the “District” menu of the website. The update features improved accessibility, making Policies, Bylaws, and APs easier to read, search and share.
Finances and Budget
Monthly Financial Report and Budget Update | October’s expenditure report shows spending is 0.29% above projected budget levels.
Pay Transparency Report | School District 64 remains committed to pay transparency and closing the gender pay gap on a macro scale. The 2024–2025 report covers 379 employees: 259 women and 120 men. Data for non-binary and unspecified genders was excluded due to privacy thresholds. On average, women earned 7% more per hour than men, with men earning 93 cents for every dollar earned by women. Women held 68% of all positions, received 65% of total pay, and occupied 74% of the highest-paid roles.
TASK Classroom Expansion | The Board approved the TASK program’s request to expand its outdoor classroom space.
Policy Committee
Policy Approved | The Board approved new Policy 5.65 Naming of Facilities.
Policy Amendment | The Board approved an amendment to Policy 2.30 Anti-Racism.
