Attention Drivers: Slow Down, Stop, and Stay Alert

Did you know … it’s illegal to pass a school bus with its flashing red lights activated. In BC, the fine is $368 and three demerits.

With schools back in session, it's important to remember that our roads will be busier with school buses and young students. 

• Slow Down: Reduce your speed in school zones and near bus stops.

• Stop at the Flashing Lights: When you see a school bus with flashing lights, stop and wait until the lights are off and the bus moves.

By working together, SD64 families and neighbours can help make our roads a safer place for every child travelling to and from school each day. Let's make this school year a safe one for all our students.
