Administrative Announcement

To the Education Community of the Gulf Islands School District,

On behalf of the Board of Education for School District 64 (Gulf Islands), I am pleased to share 

the following administrative announcement for the upcoming school year:

Paul Johnson will join Gulf Islands Secondary School as Vice-Principal. Currently serving as 

District Technology Teacher, Paul brings 20 years of experience supporting students, staff, and 

schools across the Gulf Islands. With a focus on equity of access and student engagement, Paul’s 

strong instructional and curricular knowledge, innovation, and systems thinking will serve the Gulf 

Islands Secondary School community well.

Please join me in welcoming Paul to our SD 64 administrative team. We wish him every success in his 

new role.
