'Uy' Netulh|Good Morning,

To begin our day in a good way, let us take a moment to show gratitude for the Hul'q'umi'num and SECOTEN speaking peoples. Acknowledging that the Gulf Islands, on the territory of the Coast Salish People, is the place we have come to call home. Where we get to enjoy all the beautiful things that make up the water and the land. May we continue walking our path of reconciliation through education, awareness, and advocacy

Remembrance Day Ceremony: we will be calling classes to the gym starting at 11:15am. Please make sure that your phones are on silent before entering the gym.

The Library is going food-free this week! We love having you here—but the spilled drinks, wrappers, and mystery leftovers? Not so much. 🙃

Bring your lidded drinks, bring your friends, bring your homework—but please leave the snacks outside.

Thanks for helping us keep the library clean, comfy, and awesome for everyone!

Today is Day 5 of GISS Dinovember! Did you know that we can actually determine what color some dinosaurs were? Some soft-tissue fossils have preserved microscopic evidence of pigments that can be seen with a scanning electron microscope. Microraptor’s four wings were black, glossy, and iridescent, like a modern crow or starling. And Psittacosaurus (sit-ack-o-saurus) was counter shaded, darker on its back with a lighter belly, like a deer or shark. Time to update the biology textbooks and the coloring books!

Today Caf is serving:

  • Beef lasagna

  • Chicken curry

  • Squash and noodle soup

💗

Happy Monday! Huy tseep qu! Thank you for listening.
