'Uy' Netulh|Good Morning,

To begin our day in a good way, let us take a moment to show gratitude for the Hul'q'umi'num and SECOTEN speaking peoples. Acknowledging that the Gulf Islands, on the territory of the Coast Salish People, is the place we have come to call home. Where we get to enjoy all the beautiful things that make up the water and the land. May we continue walking our path of reconciliation through education, awareness, and advocacy

This is a message for the youth of Indigenous Ed from the InEd team. Next week is our first of four visits to Xwaaqw'um for Youth on the Land. Stqeeye ' Learning Society has been preparing cultural activities and games to share with you.

This is our 8th year of youth on the land on Salt Spring. The opportunity to learn on the land recognizes Indigenous youth as knowledge holders, leaders, and essential voices in shaping a sustainable future.  YOL is also a step towards Truth & ReconciliACTION so please honour us with your presence!

If you feel that you are better than anyone else, it is solely because you have determined that to be the case. I accept you as the uniquely incredible individuals that you are. I would ask this of you. I ask that you are kind to one another. Supportive, considerate, empathetic, and respectful as students within the same classroom, teammates, cast mates, fellow musicians, etc. I see the absolute best in you, please allow those around you to see the very same. Thank you.

Happy Thursday! Huy tseep qu! Thank you for listening.
